Heavy Industrial Process Equipment
Currently looking for a Technical Sales Manager to fill an excellent opportunity with a world leader in the manufacture and develop of equipment utilized in the heavy industrial industries.  Steel, Metals or Chemical Process type of experience is ideal.  With a deep history of long term, secure employment, this firm represents unique and stable employment for the person with engineering / sales and applications background, interested in stepping up to a manager’s role.  The ideal candidate will possess Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience selling technical products or services to heavy industry.
Responsibilities of the Technical Sales Manager
  • Coordinate all sales strategies including sales appointments, business development, presentations, proposal development, customer follow-up, and trade shows.
  • Will work closely with in-house engineering and purchasing departments.
  • Participate in the development of customer requirements.
  • Will utilize background and knowledge of industrial capital equipment and implement solutions to customer’s problems.
  • Should enjoy strategic planning and customer interface.
The preferred combination of attributes and skills would include the following:
  • BS Engineering degree or equivalent
  • 5 plus years of experience selling to heavy industry
  • Able to travel a maximum of 35% domestically
