Job Description
Industry leader is looking for an Operations Manager to oversee their production.
Position will supervise and provide work direction to hourly bargaining unit employees. Be an active participant to implement safety programs goals that will ensure a safe work environment. This may be done by conducting safety contacts, observations, meetings and audits. Candidate must be able to promote continuous improvement of our client’s products, processes and services. Position requires effective planning, organizing, and controlling of assignments. The chosen candidate will identify basic problems, gather the appropriate information, and analyze in an effective manner to help create the appropriate solution.
Our client is looking for:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • An Associates or Bachelor’s degree in technical or engineering discipline is highly desired, but will consider applicable experience as well.
  • Supervisory experience in a union environment is preferred.
  • Ideal candidates will have background out of the heavy manufacturing industries like Steel, Construction, Oil and Gas, or similar environments.
  • Commitment to production goals, and willingness to consider varying work schedules.
